Project Overview & Design Highlights:
The landscape design for Old Mill Grove focuses on integrating modern aesthetics with the natural bushland surroundings, providing a functional yet visually cohesive outdoor space. The design incorporates natural materials such as stone, timber, and gravel, with feature elements like Eco Outdoor’s Chalford tiles and Canyonfell stone cladding. Key areas include a welcoming entry with a stone-clad wall and native plantings, an alfresco space with a pool and outdoor kitchen, and a dedicated garden for the family's dogs featuring soft-leaf buffalo turf. A citrus orchard and raised vegetable beds enhance the functionality of the eastern garden, while drought-tolerant and fire-resistant plant selections ensure resilience and sustainability. The overall planting strategy minimises flowering plants, focusing instead on greenery that complements the architectural elements and enhances the natural character of the site.
